Creating your child's profile

To create a profile your child can sign in to, to give them missions suited to their age, and to show you what they have been doing.

• Your child's full name, date of birth and gender, which you give us.
• A username and a PIN, which your child chooses.
• What your child does in the app: missions completed, points, level, streak, coins, badges, and answers to the daily question.
• Messages your child sends in your family chat.
• Photographs your child attaches to completed missions.

The child's profile is deleted, along with everything collected through it. The family account remains.

Making a cartoon avatar from your child's photo

To generate a cartoon version of your child to use as their picture in the app.

• One photograph of your child's face, taken with the camera in the app. The camera roll is not used for this.
• A short description your child types of the clothing they want the avatar to wear.

The generated avatar is deleted and replaced with a ready-made character. No new photographs are taken.

Kibu Club — connecting with children in other families

To let your child share what they have been doing with friends in other Kibu families.

• Posts your child creates: captions they write and photographs they upload.
• Who your child is friends with, and the reactions and stickers they send.

Your child stops being visible to other families, existing friendships end, and their posts stop being shown to anyone outside your family.

AI suggestions and your weekly report

To suggest missions that suit your child, and to write the short commentary in your weekly report.

• A summary of what your child has done: which categories of mission they complete or miss, their completion rates, and what rewards interest them.

Mission suggestions and weekly report commentary stop being personalised. Standard missions and a plain weekly report continue.

Understanding how your child uses Kibu

To see which parts of Kibu work for children and which do not, so we can improve it.

• A persistent identifier for your child's profile, and a fixed list of events describing what they did in the app and when.

The stream closes immediately, and we ask our analytics provider to delete everything already held about your child. We keep the confirmation.

What every notice includes

We have your email address because you created a Kibu account. We use it to ask for your consent and to confirm what you decided.

We want to collect personal information from your child. We cannot do that without your consent, and we will not do it until you give it.

You can agree to us collecting your child's information without agreeing to us sharing it with any outside company. Each of those is a separate choice below.

Our full Children's Privacy Policy is at getkibu.com/childrens-privacy. It lists everything we collect, everyone we share it with, and how long we keep it.

You give consent inside the Kibu app, on the account that holds the subscription. We confirm it is you by reference to the payment on the account, and we email you a receipt of every consent decision.

If you do not respond to a consent request, we delete the request and collect nothing. We will not ask repeatedly.

You can withdraw any consent at any time from Settings → Privacy, without closing your account and without contacting us.
